Gionni Straccia (1970). Couture designer, was born in Valencia, Venezuela. At a young age he presented his designs at the Caracas’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. The following year, his impressive gowns were invited to join Osmel Sousa’s internationally recognized organization: Miss Venezuela. Gionni has designed dresses for many winning contestants of this pageant. Since then, he has participated in pageants as Miss Ecuador, Miss Honduras, Miss Peru, Miss Teen USA, Miss USA, Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss Earth.
He achieved international distinction after dressing Dayana Mendoza (Miss Universe 2008) in a beautiful yellow gown and Stefanía Fernández (Miss Universe 2009) with a magnificent red dress a year later, which brought the crowing of a Miss Universe by a fellow citizen for the first time in history.
The following year, Gionni dressed Marelisa Gibson (Miss Venezuela 2009) for the Miss Universe 2010, where he also had the opportunity to dress other international participants. Afterwards, he designed the dress of Miss USA´s first runner up Miss Oklahoma, Morgan Woolard, and contestants Miss District of Columbia and Miss Maryland. In 2011, Straccia dressed the winner of Miss World, Ivian Sarcos, with an impressive pink dress. Two years later, he dressed winner of Miss Earth Pageant, venezuelan Alyz Henrich.
Gionni Straccia is currently renowned, not only for his work with the Misses, but for his marvelous wedding gowns and couture, tailored designs. He dressed latin American celebrity and soap opera actress Gaby Espino for her appereance at Latin Billboard Awards 2013 held in Miami.
Latin American celebrities such as Maite Delgado, Chiquinquirá Delgado, Viviana Gibelli, Anabelle Rivero, Daniela Kosán, among others, are part of his grand clientele. They have worn exclusive designs for high scale events such as: E! Special program from E! Entertaiment Television and other important national and international galas.
